Car sharing basically means when two or more people share a car to get from A to B rather than driving alone. The benefits are numerous both for yourself, your family, your community and the environment. You save money on running costs, you save time looking for parking spaces and you help to save the planet by reducing your carbon footprint. It allows you to maintain the convenience and comfort of car use, whilst reducing wear and tear on your car and halving your commuter costs (you could save even more if you share with more than one colleague!).

Team Valley Car Share is part of the Share Smarter car share sheme. Share Smarter is a car share database to help you find someone to car share with. You can share on a daily basis or as infrequently as you wish. Remember you don't just have to share commuter journeys – you can use the database to find a match for leisure journeys, going shopping or travelling to an event. Why not give it a try?
Want to Travel by Car and Save Money?
Why not share your journey to work with a fellow Team Valley employee? You don't need a car to be able to take part and you can share as often or infrequently as you like.
Want to get priority parking at work? Some Team Valley companies offer priority parking to employees who car share. Think of the benefit of being parked right outside the office – no more dashing to the car in the rain or trawling the car park for a space.
