If you experience problems or difficulty in managing freight transport to and from Team Valley the Tyne and Wear Freight Partnership website may prove useful by providing up-to-date travel information and an accurate map of the region travelling with freight. The Tyne and Wear Freight Partnership is made up of local authorities, the Highways Agency, industry representatives and transport operators.
From December 2006 to March 2009, there have been 255,417 hits from 50,446 different users, suggesting the website has proven extremely useful to a number of new and repeat users. The website also provides external links to traffic news and to the Highways Agency - which offers up to date traffic information for anywhere in the UK.
The Tyne and Wear LTP team developed a freight map for the Team Valley area which is available to view on the website. The map shows the designated road freight network for the region, including bridge heights, weight restrictions and preferred routes where appropriate.
