Weislawa Lubock-Baran, an employee of Paradise Foods Ltd, is the lucky winner of an ipod nano - with compliments of teamvalleylinks.com. The ipod nano has been awarded for participating in a recent travel to work survey commissioned by the Highways Agency. All participants of the survey were automatically entered in to a free prize draw and the winner selected using a random number generator.

The completed surveys, along with basic traffic counts are to be used to collate data to establish how employees currently get to and from their place of work on Team Valley. The surveys were part of the final monitoring exercise by the Highways Agency who commissioned a Framework Travel Plan for the Team Valley in 2006 in order to provide sustainable travel guidance to companies situated on the estate. The results of the survey will be published in Spring 2010 and will be summarised on a new sustainable travel initiative teamvalleylinks.com
teamvalleylinks.com is the result of a groundbreaking partnership between North East Property Partnership (Buildings for Business), Gateshead Council and the Highways Agency. The Workplace Travel Plan Company, the Travel Plan Coordinators for teamvalleylinks.com, have been appointed by Buildings for Business to drive activity forward. This iniative will offer employers, employees and visitors travelling to the area sustainable transport solutions along with financial savings that could reduce the number of single car journeys and in turn reduce congestion on the supporting road networks.
