Travel Survey Report

The teamvalleylinks.com Travel Survey Report is now available.
The results indicate the overall proportion of people travelling by car has reduced whilst the proportion of people using public transport and walking and cycling has increased.
Other key findings include:
- A continuing downward trend of overall car use
- An increase in the proportion of public transport users and a growing improvement in the perception of public transport services
- Convenience continuing to be the main influencing factor influencing mode of travel
- Approximately half of employee respondents who travel by car travel on the A1
- Cycling mode share for Gateshead College staff and students is higher than the Team Valley average
- Employee home locations are widely distributed throughout the North East. In comparison, the majority of shoppers travelling to the site originate from south of the River Tyne.
